The trend remains the same for mortgage rates across the US. According to Freddie Mac’s most updated statistics, national average on the 30-year FRM stayed put at 3.87 percent, while average 15-year fixed alternative stood still at 3.16 percent.
This marks the 52nd straight week, the 30-year fixed rates have been under 5 percent and the 11th straight week under 4 percent. The 30-year fixed rates are a record low in the history of long-term mortgage deals.
The record low for the 15-year FRM hit two weeks ago, when they finished at 3.14 percent. In comparison, the rates for 30-year fixed mortgages were exactly 5 percent the same week last year. 15-year fixed mortgages, on the other hand, were at 4.27 percent.
